Suited Up

salam..
today was like.. super tiring really.. i slept for 3 hours this evening..

alhamdulillah i was selected for mara interview on the 15th of april
i was surprised at how many ppl didnt get the interview .. ppl who i might consider are wayy better than me academically and intellectually.. i am super thankful to be selected.. but i seriously think that something is wrong.. i mean its the first stage, kenapa da potong byk sgt dah ?? tak bg chance pun... dalah bdak2 mrsm, mrsm taiping lak tu.. takpe la.. rezeki masing2 berbeza.. competition's really getting tougher.. so we just have to make the most of what we have

ok..  so what i learnt today was one of the most important lessons in life..
how to handle money..
today my mom took me on a shopping trip for my interview.. its better not to waste time coz u dont noe what's gonna happen in the next 14 days before the interview, my car might end up in the work shop or anything, and im gna have a srious problem to go shopping.. i really admire my mom's way of thinking really..

yeah, when we were shopping we talked about how happy she was at being retired.. she took an early retirement when she was near 50.. and she did freelance ever since.. parkson was extraordinarily empty and my mom was like.. this is why i love being retired, u do watever u want whenever u want it.. and most of the time ppl are busy working to be in ur way (traffic jams, queues at the cashier etc etc) .. i told her that i want to retire at 40 and do the same stuff she do. haha not entirely true..

ade la gak  impian terbesar aku sejak kecik gak la nak pakai black suit macam encik james bond and work in the corporate business world..

ok so she was about to buy me the pierre cardin shirt .. but i was like.. gile mahal 180 ringgit.. the blazer was 200/400+ i think.. like.. bazir duit gile kalau total 400/600 ringgit.. bt my mom was like.. hermm agak mahal la..
she totally didnt noe about the reject shop upstairs.. haha
so we went to reject shop and bought me a black suite and white shirt for under200.. like.. OK laa..
this trip really taught me about the value of money..
u see, my mom is not the type of person who would get 500 ringgit out just for clothes or anything just for her own satisfaction..
she has her priorities..

when it comes to education and religion, she really didnt care on how much to spend, but when it comes to desires and accessories, she really didnt care about what we(my siblings) want.. she'd give money, but its always not enough.. haha..
she gave me rm300 to buy me a phone.. i was like.. what ?? 300 ?? phones cost at least 800 these days.. then she was like.. oh takpe la, nanti tambah la lagi gune duit sendiri.. haha i bought an SE walkman for 300.. its really cheap and just what i needed.. but no point in wasting 800 for a phone, its not like u cant buy a laptop which is waayy better to use the internet or anything of that sort..

what i learnt today :

things that we NEED to spend money regardless of the amount :
1. Education
2. Religion
3. Charity 

things that doesnt matter :
1. anything other than the above...
hahaha

at the end of the trip, my mom told me something that i cant ever forget
"masa nak masuk tadika pun mak bawak pergi beli baju, nak masuk sekolah pun mak bawak pergi beli baju, nak pergi interview pun mak ade jugakk.. " 
It really showed me how important for parents to being there for their children at these important phases..
that's exactly what i want in life.. to be there for my kids..

ok la, aku mengaku aku amat jauh utk berbadan sasa seperti encik daniel craig.. haha

heheh.. i rarely took really vain pics of myself in front of the mirror.. but hey, its my first black blazer for my first interview, it has sentimental values ok.. but i dont even think i'll be wearing it to MARA interview.. macam overdress la plak.. haha

PS : teh ais sharifah is awesome ! i tried it today.. if u happen to be coming near bangi, try heading to restoran sharifah ! RM2.50 je pun
