it seems that i have a LOT of problems nowadays

with people, with life, with everything

so why not list it down for improvement

TOP TEN PROBLEMS IN THE 21st CENTURY

1. i talk too much.
2. I'd NEVER be satisfied with a statement or an answer or a joke, i'd think it over and over again to get a different perspective, in other terms, i disagree with everything, even if i noe its correct. haha
3. i am someone who takes things easy and dont really progress in studying..
4. i judge people base on how they think
5. i'd never praise someone with good qualities because i'd think that he/she is only good at that certain field/thing.
6. i get pumped up to study but i rarely do what i say.
7. i plan too much and less action
8. i get too comfortable in my current position, so much that i think the future is guaranteed.
9. i like to postpone everything.
10. i take education for granted and focus too much on life's experience. its true that life's experience is extremely important compared to exams but what kind of experience are u gonna get if u dont succeed kan ?

so that's basically how i am and what i've been trying to change for the last 1 year.

The Widespread Marketing of Imitation Products at International Level is Affecting The Global Society

Concept : the growth of imitation products at the international market is causing effects to the global society.

Points :

1)      Economically, the widespread of imitation products at international level affects companies of which the product is from. Companies now lose customers and market as a result of the presence of cheaper products which looks exactly the same as the original product. Hand phone, clothing, and electrical companies will now experience a drop in their income. So some companies might lose an amount of money while others might even be declared bankrupt. One of the main examples in the 20^th century would be Microsoft. Microsoft is a software company which is known worldwide, the widespread marketing of imitation softwares has forced Microsoft to further increase its marketing price. In other words, if not for imitation products, Bill Gates would be a much richer billionaire.

2)      Socially, the widespread marketing of imitation products will cause breakouts in illegal selling of imitation products in a country. These syndicates will go underground in order to avoid the authorities. These activities is considered as a crime and causes the increase of crime rates in a country. Even if it is legal for some countries to sell imitation products, if it is marketed at international level, it will affect other countries which considers imitation products as illegal. One of its affects will be as stated above, the increase in crime rates. In Malaysia itself, we can see the marketing of imitation CDs has caused these activities to go underground. Since it is illegal, the authorities now are having a hard time in comprehending these syndicates.  

3)      Politically, the widespread marketing of imitation products will lead to illegal smuggling of imitation products to some countries. The government will consider the crossing of borders to be an illegal action and considers it as a threat to national security. the government will now have to focus on preventing the illegal smuggling of imitation products thus a lot of effort is needed from the government. companies which loses market as a result of smuggling of imitation product will lose customers thus will force the government to take action to comprehend the situation. The smuggling of imitation products now has caused the government to focus on this problem and create more actions to comprehend these syndicates. Thus this has forced the government to allocate more money in bringing down this syndicate. To sum things up, the widespread of imitation products from one country have caused problems to other countries.  An example to look at is our country itself, Malaysia. The smuggling of imitation products has not only caused concerns from the immigration department, it is now a concern of the government, smuggling of imitation products has caused the number of illegal workers to rise in Malaysia as most of these people do not go back to their homeland

Conclusion : Countries should work together in comprehending the problem in order to create a stable economy for each country, to avoid social and political problems, and to bridge the gap between nations. 

Mock Interview : Alternative Media (Internet-blog) Poses Excessive Effects to Societies

ALTERNATIVE MEDIA (INTERNET-BLOG) POSES EXCESSIVE EFFECTS TO SOCIETIES.

Concept : alternate medias such as blog, forum and other means of media through internet may cause excessive effects on societies.

Alternative media : media that is not related to printed material or normal means of mass media. In other words, informal media. Eg: blog, forum, websites.

Main media : newspaper, news, magazines and television.

Points : 

1 ) Alternative media such as the internet is too wide. The contents are too open and are not filtered. Citizens are open to voice out their opinions through these medias. The concept of freedom of speech is practiced. This type of freedom may lead to catastrophic effects in countries that do not practice freedom of speech such as Malaysia. Racism and other types of ideologies can easily be spread from these mediums to various societies causing the mindset of societies to change. Communism can easily be spread. These ideologies may be against the policies of the government. This could lead to riots and demonstrations in protest to the governments policies which are against these ideologies. It could also lead to racist war in nations such as Malaysia. Thus causing instability to a certain country.

2) Internet is a medium of spreading false statements and lies. In comparison to newspapers, the contents of the internet is written by anyone, thus the sources of the contents are not 100% valid. Whereas the contents of the newspapers are based on certain sources and can be considered valid. By internet, it is hard for the government to track down a writer with false information as the internet is a vast and if we can track the computer, there is a possibility that the writer could be using a public computer such as at the cyber café. so through the internet, writers who go against the law is harder to track in comparison to authors of a newspaper or a magazine.

3) Alternative media has explicit contents which can effect the mind of younger generations. The exposure to explicit contents plus western influence has caused the younger generation to be influenced with the culture. The mindset of the youth is now based on western culture. The social values of the eastern culture is now eroded slowly and in the future, there would be no eastern culture as the society has been completely westernized through alternative media such as the internet. Besides that, the exposure to these contents can influence the social problems that we face today. The rate of social problems will increase and criminal rates will also increase.

Conclusion : The government should take steps in filtering contents from alternative medias. Organizations should be built specifically to monitor the contents of the internet, to filter and to remove provocative contents in the internet.

Le Tour De Bandar Baru Bangi

sorry for the blurry picture, but blogspot cant seem to resize it, so i had to tweak the html a little.

As any other sunday mornings, me and my family would all go to our so called 'orchard' or i guess u could call it a farm.. or maybe a community of animals and plants. haha

ok a kebun basically.

so my bro and his wife hiked to our kebun with their mountain bikes while me and my mom cruised in the car to the market before heading to the kebun

basically we thought that we would be there earlier than my bro

but no, they got there in like.. 30 mins

ok so we picked up my eldest bro who is also living i bangi and went straight to the kebun

today's mission was simple, to level as many areas of grass as possible

everyone was excited to test our new rm300 china-made lawnmower or brush cutter or wtv.

yes, 300 je. cheap gile. quality pon rendah. haha

so my bro was basically the bangla for the mowing part, and the rest of us had to burn stuffs, cut stuffs, water stuffs. eh, not stuffs.. more like, living stuffs. eg : plants. hahaha

ok

basically somehow i got the urge to take the net out from the car

so i did take the net out

and as i was walking across the catfish pond, i suddenly dipped my net inside the water and when i took it out of the water, guess what ?

a catfish was in it. lol

haha

i was like.. what ?? haha

and everyone was laughing coz it happened before to me.haha

ok so we brought the fish home

so before our trip home me and my eldest bro, hafiz exchanged places with my 2nd bro, fadhli and his wife, farah. (easier to mention with names. haha)

so we started the long hike from the bottom of the map to the top

it was like.. super-exhausting

there's this one time when a pro cyclist passed by and the car honked at him but when the car saw 2 fat guys on a bike right behind, he passes by like we were never really there. haha

so the hike was about 5 km more or less. 

we wanted to cycle home basically because its easier to bring the bike home when cycling on it and because i wanted to stop somewhere to buy something to drink.haha

so basically my thighs hurt and i slept for 3 hours this evening . haha

another day wasted with physical activitites and no mental activity at all. zero. haha

when will islamization come back ?

the status quo today is that islamization is at its brink. its now a fiasco, a failure..

islam is no longer a religion in majority parts of the world. Islam is now a name, and now nobody really cares about religion anymore.

lets not talk about other religions, sure, they're in the dark, they cant see what's staring at them in the face.

lets talk about us, the 'muslim' society in Malaysia.

well here's a question, how many of us, pray five times a day ? majority ? ok, accepted.

how many of us, know how to practise islamic life from the moment we open our eyes till the second we lay our head on the pillow ? a slight majority i could say

and how many of us actually practise islamic lifestyle as stated in quran and hadeeth ? minority ? about 3% ? perhaps. wallahualam.

so lets reflect on our own behaviour, which category are u in ? the first one ? the 2nd one ? or the 3rd one ? or are u in ur own category which is ; 'i dont even pray five times a day '?

do u still call urself a muslim if ur not in the 3rd category ? 

being a muslim is about practising what is preached and learnt, not just a social theory ? 

what makes a muslim, a muslim ?

everything. 

if u practise one thing, and not practise the other, do you really think that ur going to heaven ?

here's something from someone i know.

basically the theory that comes from her was, 'sin is everywhere, we cant avoid it'

its actually a stupid theory. of course, sin is everywhere, we cant avoid it, i totally agree with that, but if you yourself choose to 'sin' urself that ur not even trying to avoid it, its like you're walking straight to it at your own will.

so what is the point of believing in God in the first place if ur not even interested in being a 'real' muslim, is it just a faith ? islam is not just a faith my friend, its a way of life and one that's true and can never be wrong. islam is not just a simple theory, its scientific and can be accepted by any social culture when practised in the right way.

u might say its hard to fit into a social circle when ur practising islam.

well ur wrong, its totally not hard, just because ur a muslim, it doesnt mean u cant have fun ? it doesnt mean u cant go out with friends like any other ppl do, it doesnt mean u cant run for president ?

the only thing that keeps a muslim as a muslim is to have Allah in his/her heart and always remember that in every second we breathe. haha, easier said than done.

entertainment is soo much sweeter than modernization u much say, but when u reach a higher divinity in islam or iman, u seriously wont feel anything but god, and u'll feel the sweetness and soothiness in islam. anything can be overcome.

if u search for God, God will find you.

conclusion : search for God, try and learn more about Him and if u ever find urself lost, He is always there and other muslim brothers are there for you.. life is made soo much simpler in Islam. 

but the question remains, when will islamization come back ? and how will it come back ?

the duty lies on us, as muslims. lets not waste the chance God has given to us. 

imagine if you dont have religion, what would life be like ? and what would the afterlife be like for you ?

be thankful that you're born a muslim and lets not waste the chance.

what is the photo album in myspace or facebook or fs is really for ?

is it to put many pictures of yourselves in it ?

pictures of the same guy with the same pose in different clothes ?

and after all that i finally came to a conclusion

pics are for identifying the user (duh)..

haha. quite a funny conclusion

but there's more.

basically, u need one pic or maybe three to really identify who's the user.. and whether he's hot or not. lol

but the others are really to tell people about you. basically, pictures tell a story

so pictures about u and ur frens in a club tells that u like to waste urselves in clubs

pictures of u debating tells that ur a debater (haha)

and pictures of u with ur frens tells that ur in a certain circle of social life.

and artsy pictures tells that ur into photography or photoshop

so my point here is

stop taking pictures of ur lame self, coz people would like to know more about ur life, not how many zits u have

pictures of yourselves tell people that ur a camera-whore and u think ur oh so pretty.

haha

or it could be because ur not pretty but ur desperate for attention so there's a slight possibility that a guy would be interested in one of your pics in which coincidentally has the right lighting to make you look pretty.

HAHAHA.

geniusity. is that even a word

i'd like to contradict with a statement : everybody was born a genius

first of all

no one is born a genius

every normal person is born with different mental characteristics depending on what food they get in the womb

but alternately, their mental capability is the same. mental characteristics is basically how many neurons and bla bla but mental capability is the ability to learn.

so basically a normal human's IQ depends on how their parents teach their child.

basically, the environment, and how u learn how to walk, the ABCs determine what type of person ur gonna be

its like a blank paper, ur parents are the one who has to paint it, not you. and ur not born painted.

lets look at one example, myself

i blame the disability in memorizing facts and words on how many books i read during my childhood.i basically read roughly less than 100 books in 2 or 3 years. and i mean story books. as i get older, i never developed an interest in reading novels, or any type of book. so that's how i lack in reading subjects

lets look at how i got my logic. basically, TV has taught me logic. all those years of barney, sesame street, disney channel and surprisingly nat geo has really helped developed my logical thinking. so im more prone to those type of subjects these days. haha  

debate. my debating skills develop as i live in a debate-full environment

basically my sibs debate everyday and being consultants as they are, they always stood their ground. and having the experience of traveling to about 5 different corners across the globe has really opened my mind to thinking a lot. so that's how i got the debating skills

what about linguistic skills ? it all comes to television, internet and friends

so i have a reason besides every skill and 'disability' that i have, u can too if u can detect these factors from the past.

haha

and of course, there is, GOD. without him none of us wud be alive. so thank god ur alive and having an IQ of over 100. haha

i wonder whats my new IQ result .. hemmm.. haha

Fitting into the social circle

basically the status quo that we see everyday is that kids are getting spoilt and are constantly obsessed with fashion and hairstyles that are considered 'hip' on a certain period

adolescence is to blame here, hormones are raging and u just dont noe what to do but follow others.

but really, if ur a bit more matured, u'd stop doing watever ur doing and move on with being you.

ok, first of all let us look at those myspace pics

pics of their handphones, their guitars, their ipod, their new clothes are a statement of 'i am in the zone' so im one of the upper classmen, or perhaps any class of people for that matter.

basically, they simply think that in order to get into the social circle of rich and fun ppl, u'd have to BE like them. or at least do the same stuffs they do. so u end up asking ur mom for an ipod or an iphone and sumtimes u end up trying out new hair styles of new fashion clothes.

basically why we are doing this is because we want people to see how much we belong in a certain group.

so what im saying is stop being materialistic, it doesnt take an iphone to be friends with iphone people.

popularity is not based on your friends of what you have, its based on you. if ur likable then everyone noes you.

plus, popularity is just another adolescent stage in which u'll look back in 10 years and say, how did popularity affect me today ?? im not richer than anyone else even if i have an iphone, and im not being more successful. so what did it really do ?

the moral of the story is, u dont need to be materialistic in order to fit into a certain social circle. 

you dont choose ur social circle, the social circle chooses you. so if ur a nerd then stick with being a nerd.

it doesnt necessarily mean than you're going to be unlikable. nerds are likable if they're social enough. but the thing is, most nerds are anti-social

ok ok,

so the point is, LITERALLY be urself. be social and be likable. it doesnt take a white wool to get a black sheep accepted in a herd.

and for those of you who watch gossip girl, its a big mistake to be influenced with the system coz its so much different in the real life. well depending on what social lifestyle u live in. hahaha.

i've had a few people coming to me and asking about how i got my english and eventually got into debate.

at first they all thought that i lived in some rich family and was born overseas 

basically, they thought i speak english at home.

well i speak zero english at home. literally.

let me arrange this chronologically

age 1-12 :

never interested in english. but always scored highest :P (credits to disney channel. haha)

form 1 : 

i started to get to know fazlin when she first moved to jakarta. we chatted in english. well she chatted in english. i was 100% broken english. haha. and i remember my first debate with her was about how showering is better than bathing. haha

- i met a scottish girl name bex from an online community. we chatted and she even gave pictures of her from scotland. she's super hot but somehow she stopped contacting me at some point. too bad, really. haha

form 2 :

- i met afiq, an american-malay guy. he speaks 100% american english. i started to speak english with him and tan khai yong and kugeshan. its probably a good thing to have this many race and background in one class

- it was my first english speech, i trembled, and words didnt come out. pn rahayu stopped me and asked me to take a deep breath. got straight A's for my oral test ever since and from that point onwards, i never hesitated to go upstage. you could say that pn rahayu gave me confidence.

form 3 :

- i tried out for the debate team along with azlyn and rabynn(or however u spell his name). we were on the same team for the mock debate. all three of us were accepted for the team and i managed to outshine afiq. haha. and i can recall amalina asking about my english rating from a rating of 1 to 10 and i rated it 7 while afiq rated 10 million. haha

- it was my first debate outside of school, i mumbled and was talking crap. but fortunately we won after being saved by my 2nd and 3rd speaker

form 4 :

- joined the english motivational comittee which helped me find people with my kind of interest. haha.

- joined mrsm taiping's debate team  along with an mrsm national-level speaker (izzat), a uia speaker (azrin), and an ex mrsm 4-flatter (syahril). i became the first ex-government student to get in the team in years (i was super proud of that! :D).

- got number 300+ overall speaker rating out of 400+. hahahaha. ok i sucked.

form 5 :

- continued my career in debating. became the unofficial team captain and became the 13th national best speaker overall in Interschool debating championship. 

- is currently a retired debater and a semi-professional trainer (ROFL!!) for mrsm taiping's form four team to prepare them for inter-mrsm national level 1st debate fest.

s0 that's how i got this tongue, basically.. everything is done by the will of Allah. alhamdulillah for everything.
